Portable restroom placement and unit type choice in Los Angeles depend on seasonal rain, summer heat peaks and Santa Ana wind patterns.
Los Angeles Porta Potty Rental is a call line for portable restroom rental in Los Angeles and 27 other neighborhoods and cities within about 25 km. You describe the job, and the call is connected to an independent local portable-sanitation provider, who prices it, delivers the units and services them. Units are supplied when a provider has them free.
Los Angeles asks a lot of a portable restroom. Downtown's normals show about 14.2 inches of rain a year, with 92 percent of it falling between November 1 and April 30, so a summer festival and a winter film shoot are very different placements. A September 2024 heat wave put downtown at 111 to 112 F, and the Santa Ana winds of January 7, 2025 sent gusts past 80 mph at the Hollywood-Burbank airport. Units on a lot or a closed street have to be planned around all of that.
The calendar is just as demanding. The Los Angeles Marathon, the Rose Parade, Pride in Hollywood and West Hollywood, the Korean Festival and the weekly farmers markets all run on city streets, while Inglewood, Dodger Stadium and the Rose Bowl draw crowds of tens of thousands. Los Angeles Porta Potty Rental puts you through to an independent provider, and that provider quotes the job, delivers the units and handles servicing. Ask for the quote in writing and for the plan for the whole rental period.

A Hollywood film base camp, a street fair in Boyle Heights, a build beside the D Line extension and a tailgate near SoFi Stadium need different setups. The pages here are written for that range, not for a generic yard party.
You describe the job once, with the neighborhood or city and the ZIP. The call goes to an independent provider that works in your part of the county, so you skip the hunt for one.
Street events in the city go through the Bureau of Street Services, parades and demonstrations through LAPD, and food events through County Public Health. We point to the office; we do not promise a permit.
Where a published rule exists, such as one handwashing sink for every four toilets in the County event program or Cal/OSHA's one toilet per 20 workers, it is quoted. Where none was found, the pages say so.
Published Los Angeles price figures disagree with one another, so this site shows no price list. The provider sets the figure from your unit mix, dates and site, and you ask for it in writing.
This is a call line. It does not own units, drive trucks or service them. It connects you with an independent provider that does, when that provider has units free.
Have the neighborhood or city, the ZIP, the dates, roughly how many people and how many hours, and where trucks could reach. A photo of the spot helps.
Say what it is: a street festival, a film shoot, a construction site, a wedding. That is enough to connect you with a provider that serves your part of Los Angeles County.
The provider suggests a unit mix, covers servicing, delivery and pickup, and gives you a written quote. Availability depends on what the provider has free for your dates.
Check the quote against any permit or site conditions, then agree. The provider delivers, places, services and collects the units, and answers for that work.
Give the neighborhood or city, the ZIP, the dates and hours, a rough headcount, whether food is served and how a truck can reach the spot. A provider can suggest units and a quote from those few facts. Permit status helps too, but the provider does not issue permits.
The ZIP matters in Los Angeles because one name can cover several jurisdictions. Downtown streets fall under City of Los Angeles rules, while Pasadena, Glendale, Inglewood and Santa Monica are separate cities with their own offices. Saying which one you are in helps the provider route the call and tells you which office to ask about permits.
If the toilets are for an organized event, the special event portable toilets page lists what a provider usually asks. For a smaller private gathering, see wedding and private party toilets.
It depends on the event. The City's Bureau of Street Services handles special-event permits on the public right of way, LAPD handles parades and demonstrations, and LA County Public Health sets sanitation rules for community events with food. LADBS also states that sanitary facilities must be provided at special events.
Under the County's Community Event Organizer program, the sourced rules include one toilet for each 15 food employees within 200 feet of each food booth, truck or cart, and one handwashing sink for every four public toilets. The County application is due 30 days before the event and no later than two weeks before.
No published City or County rule for toilets per attendee turned up in our research, so a provider's count is a recommendation, not a legal figure. The permit guide for porta potties in Los Angeles explains how the offices fit together.
Heat waves, a short wet season and Santa Ana gusts each affect placement and servicing. Most rain falls between November and April, summer afternoons can pass 100 F, and January 2025 winds gusted above 80 mph at Hollywood-Burbank airport. Tell the provider the setting so it can plan placement and how often to service.
Downtown reached 111 to 112 F in September 2024, and Hollywood-Burbank airport hit 114 F. Hot, crowded days mean more use and heavier odors, so ask the provider how it plans servicing for a long event.
Open lots and hillside sites are the most exposed to wind. The heat and Santa Ana wind guide covers what a provider usually asks about the ground and the exposure.
Yes. The line connects film crews, builders and event organizers with independent providers. A film base camp, a long-term build and a one-day festival need different equipment and servicing, so each has its own page on this site, and each ends in a written quote from the provider.
FilmLA handles permits for commercial on-location filming, and submissions go through MyFilmLA at least three full business days before first activity. No portable-toilet rule for film was found, so unit counts for a shoot come from the provider and the production, not from a published figure.
On a jobsite, Cal/OSHA's rule in Title 8 CCR 1526 asks for one toilet facility for each 20 employees or fraction, with a smaller rule for crews under five. See film and TV location toilets and construction site toilets.

An independent local portable-sanitation provider. Los Angeles Porta Potty Rental is a call line that connects you with one who serves your area, and that provider prices the job, delivers the units, services them and collects them. The arrangement is explained on the About page.
Possibly, when a provider has units free for those dates, but the line does not promise a delivery time or date. For a big event, call as early as you can and say the dates plainly, so the provider can tell you what is available.
The provider sets up and places the units, not you. Street closures and event permits come from the city office for your location, such as the Bureau of Street Services for City of Los Angeles streets, and the provider can advise on placement once you share the permit plan.
No. Give the headcount, the hours, whether food is served and the setting, and the provider suggests a mix. The count is the provider's recommendation, since no City or County per-attendee rule turned up in our research.
The line is how you reach a provider. Any charge for the rental comes from the provider, so ask what the quote covers, such as delivery, servicing and pickup, and get it in writing before you agree.
Yes. Coverage runs to about 25 km from downtown and includes separate cities such as Pasadena, Glendale, Burbank, Inglewood, Culver City, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica. Each has its own page, and permits there come from the local city, not from the City of Los Angeles.
